31 People showed up yesterday for the Bike Camping 101 class held in Colonel Summers Park in SE Portland. The weather was nice and reasonably sunny, and there was an additional surprise – reporter Joe Smith from KGW came out and covered the event live on their 7pm telecast.
Also, there was one piece of bad information given out. Oxbow Regional Park is no longer closed. The campground is open (but with 10 fewer spots), but the restroom/shower building is closed and will be (may already have been) removed. The long-term future of the campground is still being planned out, but the campground is again open.
