Hey friends! Our next weekend bicycle camping trip is just under three weeks away! For our August overnight camping trip, we’ll be traversing the wilds of Clark County, Washington to head to Battle Ground Lake State Park!

The ride will leave Portland on Saturday, August 4th. We’ll ride about 25 miles to Battle Ground Lake, using a mix of shoulderless rural roads with low traffic, bike lanes, bike routes through residential neighborhoods, and bike paths. There will be a few small hills that can be steep for short distances, but nothing major. We’ll be camping in Battle Ground Lake’s rustic and secluded walk-in sites!
We’ll return to Portland on Sunday August 5th.
Are you interested in coming along? A few things to note:
  • We need to reserve campsites in advance to make sure we have appropriate space at this popular campsite. If you want to come, you must register via Eventbrite. Please do not email me or leave a comment asking to be registered, you must register via Eventbrite. Here is the link to the registration page.
  • There is indeed a lake, so you know what that means? Yes, that is right. Swimming. Be prepared for this fun business by bringing appropriate swimwear. (They would probably frown on you for going au naturel.)
