These are the typical routes that Cycle Wild travels out to the closest camping destinations to Portland, Oregon. For the most part these are low-traffic routes of 35 miles or less from the starting point (except the bottom route to the coast!), and they either start near downtown Portland or at the end of the various MAX light-rail lines extending out from the city center.
We’ve tried to list the calmest, quietest, safest routes we could find – but all routes have some areas which are loud, busy, or have narrow shoulders somewhere along the way. Stay alert, follow good cycling practices, and carry a spare pump, tube, patch kit and other emergency items, just in case. Pleasant riding!
